Poker Game

Should I turn down any business?

giving thumbs down

Not all work which comes your way will be in your best interests.

Everything has it's price and if a project sounds too good to be true then it very probably is.

Some people get rich by forgetting to pay up on time or pleading cash flow problems.

Others keep adding little extras so that the project balloons out of all proportion to the initial specification.

Who pays for these extras  - YOU DO if you are not careful.

Basic rules.

If you haven't dealt with them before or have not been introduced by a trustworthy associate get an upfront deposit of around 30%.

If you go ahead without agreeing firm payment terms be prepared to write the whole project off.

  1. Walk away.
  2. Go.
  3. Don't look back.

It's like a poker game (cue for a song) but video has been deleted. Shame!

You don't always know what you are doing but on balance it's quite pleasant!

p.s. I used to hate flash movies - now I rather like them - I've even made my own shameless advert
